The Nation's Weather for Saturday, January 6, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An active weather pattern will hold over much of the country
tomorrow, with a potent storm moving to the East bringing an
area of snow stretching from eastern Illinois through much
of Pennsylvania. Rain will mix in with the snow across the
Appalachians as freezing rain brings icy conditions from
western Virginia through parts of western North Carolina. A
plain rain will fall south of that area, with embedded
thunderstorms in southern Georgia and Florida. Yet another
storm will bring some steady snow to Minnesota, with
sporadic snow showers extending into Iowa and Missouri. The
last storm will bring snow to interior portions of the
Northwest and even northern areas of the Southwest, while
coastal areas from western Washington to west-central
California will receive rain.
