The Nation's Weather for Friday, September 15, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As Hurricane Lee continues to track northward off the
mid-Atlantic coast tomorrow, hazardous beach conditions will
continue across much of the East. Chances for precipitation
in the eastern part of the nation will be limited to areas
near a stalled front from the Gulf Coast across Florida into
inland portions of Georgia and Alabama and westward across
much of Texas. Otherwise, high pressure will ensure a dry
day from the mid-South across the Northeast. West of there,
a cold front will serve as the focus for showers and some
thunderstorms from the Upper Midwest into Colorado tomorrow,
with repeated rounds of storms likely from Colorado into the
panhandle of Oklahoma. The rest of the West will largely be
rain-free as a dry air mass continues to take hold.
