The Nation's Weather for Saturday, August 19, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rainfall associated with Hilary will spread farther into the
Southwest from Southern California into portions of Nevada
and Arizona tomorrow, with intense rainfall rates likely to
produce flooding, especially in southern areas.
Thunderstorms farther north will also bring downpours to
areas of the Intermountain West, including places as far
north as southern Montana and as far east as central
Colorado. Much of the nation's center will be dry as high
pressure holds firm across a large swath of the country.
This trend will continue into the Southeast, where most will
face a hot day as storms are confined to the Florida
Peninsula. Showers will continue to exit northern New
England through the day as a storm departs. The Northeast
and the mid-Atlantic will be dry.
