NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms will return to western areas of
the Northeast and Southeast tomorrow with some thunderstorms
turning severe. Storms can bring the risk of flash flooding
and damaging winds. Meanwhile, mainly dry weather and heat
will continue to boil parts of the South Central states,
including Texas. Thunderstorms will once again erupt over
the Southwest and spread into parts of Colorado, where
storms could become strong toward the late afternoon.
Conditions will be largely dry and warm across the
Northwest, with dry weather expanding into parts of the
northern Plains as well. In the Midwest, a few brief showers
will occur in northern areas of Minnesota, Wisconsin and
Michigan. Thunderstorms will cross southern Illinois,
Indiana and Ohio.
