NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm will continue to trek through the Northeast
tomorrow, leading to the risk for severe thunderstorms from
southern New York into Maine. Damaging winds, flooding
downpours and isolated tornadoes are all potential hazards
from these storms. Farther south, there will be another area
of possibly severe thunderstorms spanning from Arkansas into
Georgia and northern Florida. Risks for these storms include
damaging winds and potential flash flooding as well. The
South Central and Southwest will continue to bake in
dangerous heat. Some locations can reach 5-15 degrees
Fahrenheit above the historical average for this time of
year. During the late evening and overnight, severe
thunderstorms will fire up across eastern Colorado, Kansas
and Nebraska, producing the risk for strong winds and large
hail.
