The Nation's Weather for Monday, June 5, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
With a disturbance continuing to linger offshore tomorrow,
showers are expected in coastal New England once again.
This rain will be more spotty than prior days, but will
still lead to dreary conditions. Cool weather will remain
in place across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Pop-up
showers and thunderstorms are likely across a wide swath of
the country, extending from the Southeast into most of the
Plains states. While severe weather will remain widely
isolated, some storms can produce heavy rain and lead to
localized flooding. However, in the central Plains, storms
will be beneficial in relieving the ongoing drought. Aside
from a thunderstorm or two in the Great Basin, drier
weather is likely in the West.
