The Nation's Weather for Saturday, May 6, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Strong thunderstorms are expected to occur tomorrow
afternoon in central Texas. These storms can produce hail
and damaging winds. The storms will move slightly farther
east during the evening hours before weakening. A swath from
the Northwest to the northern Plains and Upper Midwest will
have showers, with embedded pockets of steadier rain.
Following days of showers and temperatures well below the
historical average, a drier and warmer day will be enjoyed
in the Northeast. Gusty winds and excessively dry weather
will result in a high fire threat in southeastern Colorado,
far West Texas and much of New Mexico. The wind flow around
an area of high pressure will result in a breezy day along
the east coast of Florida.
