The Nation's Weather for Friday, September 3, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
In the wake of Tropical Rainstorm Ida, incidents of flash
and urban flooding will gradually decrease in the Northeast
tomorrow. However, some of the major rivers are forecast to
continue rising into the weekend as runoff from smaller
creeks and streams spills into the larger bodies of water.
Otherwise, much of New England will have fall-like
conditions with cool air and spotty afternoon showers.
Elsewhere, morning thunderstorms in Iowa and Missouri are
expected to fall apart as they move into western Illinois.
Farther west, thunderstorms will erupt during the afternoon
in far southwestern South Dakota, southeastern Wyoming, the
western Nebraska Panhandle and eastern Colorado. Those
storms will be capable of producing flash flooding and
damaging winds.
