The Nation's Weather for Friday, January 27, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Occasional snow and flurries will occur around much of the
Upper Midwest and Great Lakes tomorrow. Farther west, snow
will spread over Montana, Wyoming and parts of Idaho in
advance of a much colder air mass. A few showers could
dampen coastal Washington and Oregon. Meanwhile, California
will continue its recent dry stretch in the wake of the
storminess earlier in the month. The South can also expect a
dry day, leading to favorable conditions for any necessary
cleanup following the severe weather that occurred Tuesday
and Wednesday. Above-normal temperatures area likely over
the central Plains, although a breeze will offset the
mildness somewhat. A cold air mass will overspread the
northern Rockies and northern Plains this weekend, with some
locations failing to rise above zero F.
