The Nation's Weather for Friday, December 17, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A zone of rain will dampen areas from Missouri eastward to
Virginia tomorrow. A few rumbles of thunder may accompany
rain farther to the southwest in Oklahoma, Arkansas and
northern Texas, but severe weather is not expected. A shower
or two will dot the region from Georgia to Alabama to
southern Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana, mainly
during the afternoon. A couple of afternoon showers and a
thunderstorm will traverse far southern portions of
Mississippi and Alabama and the western Florida Panhandle.
The West is forecast to be relatively quiet for a change,
but flurries or a bit of snow will fall in the northern
Rockies. Light snow will make it as far east as North Dakota
and northern South Dakota. The break in the West will not
last long, as the next storm will come ashore Saturday.
