The Nation's Weather for Saturday, January 21, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A gathering storm will bring snow to much of Kansas
tomorrow, with only far southeastern Kansas warm enough for
rain showers. Those showers will extend southward into
central Texas. Meanwhile, thunderstorms will rumble in
eastern Texas, Louisiana, central and southern Mississippi,
southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. A few afternoon
showers could dampen locations as far east as the Florida
Peninsula. A morning flurry is not completely out of the
question east of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario and in the
Appalachians of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, but the
region will largely be dry. The northern Plains, Midwest and
Southwest can expect a dry day as well. California will
continue to get a break from recent storminess, but
precipitation will fall in Oregon and especially Washington.
