The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 15, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A blizzard over the northern Plains will slowly wind down
tomorrow. Even where snow is no longer falling, blowing snow
can still be an issue and cover roads that had been cleared.
Meanwhile, a new storm will begin to spread an icy mix of
snow, sleet and freezing rain into the interior
mid-Atlantic. The precipitation will continue to advance
overnight, reaching southern and central New England. To the
south, strong to severe thunderstorms will rumble through
southern coastal South Carolina, southern Georgia, the
central and eastern Florida Panhandle and the northern and
central Florida Peninsula. Downpours, isolated tornadoes and
damaging wind gusts will all be possible. Much of the West
will be cold and dry, although a few snow showers can occur
in the central Rockies.
