NATIONAL SUMMARY
A broad area of disturbed weather will continue to press
south and east into the western United States tomorrow. This
storm system will spread areas of rain and mountain snow as
far east as Idaho and even portions of western Montana, with
snow also extending southward into the northern Sierra
Nevada in California as rain falls at lower elevations.
Elsewhere, a persistent disturbance will finally move off
the East coast later in the day with some lingering showers
and light rain most widespread from New England to coastal
areas of the Carolinas. In the South, a zone of heavy rain
and thunderstorms will eventually move eastward into the
Gulf of Mexico after bringing downpours to the lower Rio
Grande Valley. Most of the rest of the nation is expected to
remain dry.
