NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will bring a flash flooding threat from far
eastern Texas, to east-central Alabama and south to the Gulf
Coast tomorrow. Monsoon thunderstorms will be primarily
focused on southeastern California, Arizona and New Mexico,
as well as the mountains of Utah and Colorado. The overall
coverage of monsoon storms will be much less than in recent
weeks. A swath of thunderstorms is expected to stretch from
the northern Rockies to South Dakota, with a higher
concentration of activity in northern Minnesota and the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A few showers will dampen
upstate New York and much of New England, while the rest of
the Northeast turns drier. Well above-normal temperatures
will return to the Pacific Northwest. The San Joaquin Valley
of California will remain hot.
