NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms will once again target a large swath of
the United States tomorrow. Portions of Montana, the Dakotas
and Wyoming, will be at risk for damaging storms from the
afternoon into the overnight hours. Farther east, storms can
develop and stretch from Nebraska and Iowa, to North
Carolina and southern Virginia. The main threats with any
potent thunderstorms will be damaging wind gusts, hail and
heavy rainfall. Elsewhere, sizzling heat will expand from
the southern Plains and reach into portions of the Midwest.
Humidity will also build over many of the Central and
Eastern states. In the West, generally comfortable
conditions are on tap. A few showers will dot the Pacific
Northwest.
