NATIONAL SUMMARY
An area of thunderstorms will be ongoing tomorrow morning in
the mid-Atlantic, moving out of the Appalachians through
Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. These storms may
contain damaging winds, though small hail and an isolated
tornado are also possible from the most intense storms. In
the Southeast, more isolated showers and storms will pop up
during the afternoon hours. In the Northwest, periods of
rain will continue from Montana to Washington and coastal
Oregon, with temperatures below normal across the area. In
the central United States, the heat wave will continue, with
temperatures in the 90s as far north as central Minnesota
and northern Wisconsin. Gusty winds in the Southwest can
also enhance the spread of wildfires.
