NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms are expected to rumble along the East Coast
from central New Jersey to Florida tomorrow. Meanwhile,
spotty showers will dampen some areas farther to the north
from Ohio through Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey and New
York state. To the west, thunderstorms are also forecast in
central and southern Minnesota, northern and central Iowa,
and much of Wisconsin and Lower Michigan. Afternoon
thundershowers may produce more lightning than rain in
eastern Arizona and western New Mexico. Storms will also
thunder across southern Montana. Heavy rain will raise the
risk for flooding in far eastern Washington, northeastern
Oregon, northern and central Idaho and northwestern Montana.
Record-challenging heat will continue from the valleys of
California to the Desert Southwest and much of Texas.
