NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms capable of producing flooding downpours, hail
and damaging wind gusts will rumble from central New York to
southern Georgia tomorrow. Showers may contain small hail in
southeastern Indiana, southwestern Ohio and central
Kentucky. Much of the Northwest will be showery before a
more substantial storm with rain and wind comes ashore in
southern Washington, Oregon and northwestern California
Saturday. The Southwest will remain dry, with seasonably hot
conditions. The record-challenging heat of recent days will
continue to ease in the Sacramento Valley and San Joaquin
Valley of California. The High Plains will also be dry, with
temperatures climbing above normal. Spotty thunderstorms are
expected in the Florida Peninsula, especially during the
afternoon.
