The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, May 11, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heat will continue to build tomorrow across the central
United States. High temperatures in the 90s may reach as far
north as Wisconsin. A storm continues to linger off the
mid-Atlantic and Southeast coasts, bringing rough surf,
coastal flooding and strong rip currents. Gusty winds and
some showers are also expected near the coastline. In the
northern Plains, a few severe thunderstorms are expected.
While damaging winds, hail and localized flash flooding are
the greatest concerns, a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
A new storm will move onshore in the Pacific Northwest,
bringing rain and mountain snow. In the Cascades, snow
levels may drop as low as 2,000 feet, with difficult travel
expected through mountain passes.
