NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm system will continue to linger off the Southeast
coast tomorrow, bringing increased cloud cover and some
showers to the immediate coast. Additionally, rough surf and
strong rip currents are expected along the mid-Atlantic and
Southeast coastlines. Hot weather will continue across much
of the central and south-central United States. In the Texas
High Plains, a few severe thunderstorms are expected.
Damaging wind gusts and large hail will be a possibility in
those storms. In the Southwest, winds will remain gusty.
While wind speeds may not be as high as prior days, they
will be strong enough to continue to enhance the spread of
ongoing wildfires, as conditions will remain dry across the
area.
