The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, April 1, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Cool air is forecast to spread across much of the western
United States tomorrow. As this occurs, showers and mountain
snow are forecast to dot the West Coast and Rocky Mountains.
Meanwhile, gusty winds are forecast across the interior
Southwest and Plains, which will lead to a high fire risk
from New Mexico and West Texas to far southern Kansas due to
low humidity and dry brush. To the north, a storm is
forecast to spread rain and snow from the Dakotas to
Wisconsin, and thunderstorms will develop along the central
Plains. Some storms are forecast to bring damaging wind
gusts, hail and even a few tornadoes late in the day. The
Southeast is projected to be warm along with low humidity in
the mid-Atlantic, whereas the Northeast can expect cooler
conditions due to a northwest breeze.
