The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, October 30, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm will track over the center of the nation
tomorrow, spreading rain and thunderstorms from Texas and
Louisiana to Minnesota and Wisconsin. Some thunderstorms can
turn severe from southern Wisconsin to eastern Texas, and
will be capable of producing flash flooding, hail, damaging
wind gusts and even a tornado or two. Meanwhile, rain and
mountain snow will come to an end in the Rockies, leaving
behind much cooler conditions with temperatures well below
the historical averages. Another storm will begin to spread
rain and high-elevation snow to Washington and Oregon. On
the other side of the nation, largely dry and very warm
weather will continue across the East, with the exception of
a spotty shower in the Florida Peninsula. Breezy conditions
can lead to an elevated wildfire risk for the Great Lakes.
