North Pike head football coach Paul Anderson has formally resigned from his position and is set to take on a role as Parklane Academy's associate Athletic Director alongside current AD Ron Rushing.
A statement from Anderson:
“I have thoroughly appreciated the leadership, guidance, and unwavering support from the North Pike Administration during my time here. I am especially appreciative to the football coaching staff at North Pike and the young men we were privileged to coach this past season for their hard work. I wish them all the success in the future! I am looking forward to working with Parklane Administration, faculty, staff, students, and working alongside Athletic Director/Varsity Head Football Coach Ron Rushing in my new role."
The Pioneers' former offensive coordinator rejoins the school after he helped the football program win a state title in 2024.
The Jaguars are now in search of a new coach, with interested candidates being encouraged to contact Athletic Director Kevin Martin at kmartin@npsd.k12.ms.us or 601-276-3594. Head-coaching or coordinator experience is preferred, while a valid Mississippi teacher's license is required.
Defensive coordinator Wes McCullough will act as the school's interim coach while the search is ongoing, and it's also worth noting that the North Pike program is set to debut its brand new on-campus football field next fall.
