North Pike trustees said goodbye to one of their own this month.
The board said farewell to three-term member Scott Campbell at the Dec. 1 meeting after 15 years of service. Campbell did not seek re-election in November.
The board will welcome Bradley White in January. White ran unopposed in November to replace Campbell.
In other business, the board:
• Approved a memorandum of understanding with Youth Villages Inc. for placement of children and adolescents with behavioral or emotional problems.
• Accepted a $2,500 donation from North Pike Elementary School’s parent-teacher organization to help defray expenses for field trips.
• Accepted a grant for NPES teacher Chelsey Wicker to use the Daily 5 literacy framework to enrich and enhance student engagement.
• Approved out-of-state travel for the high school track team to compete at LSU in Baton Rouge on Jan. 7.
• Considered a student matter in executive session.
