11/19 PRESIDENT TRUMP RETURNS
America has spoken and Trump was overwhelmingly chosen as President. Biden and Harris have vowed to work for a smooth transition and a healing to bring the country back together. But the liberal Democrat governors and mayors are vowing to fight Trump on every move. The liberal media is still looking for someone to blame for Harris’ loss. Americans gave a clear signal that liberal policy and wokeness is not going to rule the Great USA.
11/20 MORE ELECTION ANALYSIS
The Democrats tried to buy the election. It didn’t work. Trump is not for sale. I knew who would win when I saw a picture of Franklin Graham standing beside Trump, and Rev. Al Sharpton standing beside Kamala Harris. I wonder if Tim Kalich and Mac Gordon are enjoying that meal of crow they are being served by the GOP?
11/21 RESPONSE TO YESTERDAY’S ELECTION ANALYSIS
In reference to the “My Two Cents” comment about Democrats and the election that was printed on Wednesday, Nov. 20, this person’s opinion goes to show how evil and vile people have become. But sadly, as many say, that’s Mississippi for you. May God have mercy on us all.
10/31 A WOMAN PRESIDENT? NO, SIR!
In my opinion, there is no woman capable of being president of the United States. That is a job for a man, and that does not have anything to do with this election. Also, this artificial intelligence, solar power and driverless vehicles are dangerous. I love America!
11/1 A WOMAN PRESIDENT? YES, SHE CAN
Response to the Oct. 31 Two Cents — what world is this misogynist living in? It is 2024, women are very capable of anything a man is. I understand the submitter believes that no women are capable of being president, but do you realize who gave birth to all of these “qualified men” you speak of? A woman. Have some respect and get out in the real world if you think women are not capable.
11/15 WOMEN CAN BE GREAT, TOO
“No woman is capable of being president of the United States,” Oct. 31, 2024. I guess Margaret Thatcher did not get the memo when she led Great Britain. That’s not to mention other powerful women leaders throughout history. In modern times: Golda Meir of Israel, Indira Gandhi of India, Corazon Aquino of the Philippines, Angela Merkel of Germany. Women can be great, just as men can!
11/7 LOOK WHAT GOES IN THE GARBAGE
It didn’t surprise me that President Biden called Trump supporters garbage. Just look at what he and Vice President Harris have done for these unborn babies. It makes me sick that they are putting these babies in the garbage when so many families could be adopting them.
11/22 ABOUT THOSE DEER PHOTOS
You do not show pictures of dead cats, dogs, hamsters, squirrels or birds, so why do you show pictures of deer? It’s so completely inappropriate to have a dead animal pictured in your newspaper, especially when it’s seen with some smiling jackass that killed it.What’s next, pictures along with the obituaries of the person in the casket? Kindly stop showing pictures of these beautiful animals after they have been killed. Deer are living creatures, not trophies.
11/14 A NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
In order to prevent damage to my vehicles, the public is hereby informed that I will be driving very, very slowly in several areas of McComb where the streets have become unsuitable for normal driving. I am pleading with my fellow drivers not to hit me in the rear end. Do I need to run this in the legal notice section?
11/12 PRICEDALE DRIVE PATCHES
Pike County supervisors must see Pricedale Drive going by Jolimar in Lincoln County, just north of River Road in Pike County. It is possible to patch holes in pavement and not leave a big bump where the hole was — like it is in Pike County. Maybe our supervisors could visit with Lincoln County supervisors and learn how.
11/5 THE LAW SAYS WHO’S BAILIFF
Acting as bailiff in Justice Court has been a constable’s duty for as long as I can remember. Mississippi Code 19-19-7 states: “It shall be the duty of the constable to attend the justices’ courts of his district, and to obey their lawful orders.” So, why on Earth would there be a need for a McComb police officer to act as Justice Court bailiff, or anyone else for that matter? The law clearly defines this responsibility.
10/29 HOMELESS BY CHOICE
McComb has way too many homeless people! I have as much sympathy as anyone for those who have had some rough breaks. However, most of those I have talked to are homeless by choice. And because of them, our crime rate has risen. They are responsible for most of the property crimes: burglary, looting, vandalism and arson. Remember when vagrancy used to be against the law?
10/30 MORE ABOUT THE HOMELESS
My compassion is with the people who go to work every day, have a full-time job and are struggling just like everyone else to make ends meet. The ones that would like the comfort of going to work and not worrying that their possessions are stolen by people from the homeless camp. There is a workforce shortage in McComb and plenty of places hiring. I side with the people who have put effort in and spent years of their life to get where they are.
11/6 MEDICARE FRAUD ALERT
Every day I get multiple phone calls from callers claiming to be from some Medicare insurance company. Tell your readers not to fall for these scams. My caller ID indicates a Mississippi 601 area code. These are stolen, hacked numbers. If you have a question it’s impossible to get in touch with them. They can hardly speak the English language. Why can’t some enforcement agency stop these thieves?
