Jack Edmonson, left, beginning his fifth season as baseball coach at Southwest Mississippi Community College, spoke to the McComb Rotary Club on Feb. 11. He said 11 of the 33 players on this year's team are from the school's four counties, but hopes that count will be as high as 19 in 2027. He said a new scoreboard and videoboard has just been installed at the Southwest baseball stadium, and the team has raised $100,000 per year in each of the last five years for player development.
