McComb police have issued a bulletin for a suspect wanted in connection with a recent shooting in which a man survived being shot in the back of the head during a robbery.
Wilton “Skeeter” Williams III is accused of shooting Jaylen Hayes of Osyka on Nov. 13 on Ashley Street.

Man booked with arson in store fire

Summit police charged a man with arson after he allegedly set a fire in a Summit liquor store on Tuesday morning and ran from police.
Pike County sheriff’s deputy Brian Mullins apprehended Remar Blocker, 33, within an hour along the railroad tracks just north of town, Police Chief Kenny Cotton said.

Mid-day Baertown shooting kills man

A broad daylight shooting in Baertown killed a Magnolia man, authorities said.
Jamorris Shaw, 25, of Magnolia, was shot on the corner of L.J. Martin Street and Lincoln Avenue around 12:30 p.m., Pike County Coroner Wally Jones said.

A man wanted for attempted murder was apprehended after leading lawmen on a chase in excess of 140 mph across county lines and pulling a gun on Pike County Sheriff Wally Jones on Wednesday afternoon.
