Christmas morning would find my sister and me rushing through the hallway into the den hoping that Santa had left a multitude of toys, firecrackers, candies, and nuts. The excitement couldn’t be contained and on most of these mornings, Pop would snap a couple photos capturing the expressions on our faces.

Three arrested in two raids in city

Two people suspected of being in the country illegally were arrested and a cache of weapons was seized at a McComb residence Tuesday night in a raid that followed a drug bust in the city earlier in the day in what appears to be a related case.

Morning accident flips SUV on Delaware

A woman had to be removed from an overturned SUV following a two-vehicle accident on Delaware Avenue on Thursday morning.
The wreck involving a Hyundai passenger car and a Mazda Tribute SUV occurred around 9:30 in front of the Southwest Mall near the intersection of Gay Street.

Wreck leads to shooting

Lawmen are investigating a shooting that occurred after a man allegedly took his mother’s car, caused a wreck involving numerous vehicles and tried to take another car involved in the crash on Highway 98 on Sunday afternoon.
The incident included one of two shootings reported in the area over the weekend.
