HS Hoops: Public schools gear up for MHSAA playoffs, Lady Pioneers at MAIS Overall

The high school basketball postseason rolls on this week, as local public schools are set for the opening round of the their respective MHSAA tournaments while Parklane's girls basketball team is gearing up for another run in the MAIS Overall bracket.

Parklane's Jefferson, Baskin, Davidson sign to further football careers at JUCO level

A trio of standout linemen from Parklane’s 2025 state-title team took part in Signing Day festivities, as they each pledged to further their careers at the junior-college level.
Veteran offensive linemen Arrocus “Roc” Baskin Jr. and Alston Davidson joined monstrous defensive end Telvin Jefferson in signing Wednesday.

Trio of walk-off wins cap 4-0 week for SMCC baseball

Southwest Baseball played Alvin Community College in a three-game series across Thursday and Friday, and the Bears won all three games with each ending on a walk-off hit and score.
Game One was on Thursday and saw Andrew Hoff start on the mound for Southwest. Hoff had three strikeouts with five hits allowed in three innings pitched.
