New traffic patterns coming to three McComb intersections

Three intersections in McComb will have new traffic patterns later this month as they become three- and four-way stops.
City officials said the intersection of Caston and Wheelock streets will become a three-way stop, while Caston and White street will become a four-way stop, and so will the intersection of 21st and 9th streets.

The power of last Wednesday night's storm is well illustrated by the remains of this large pine tree near the Southwest Mississippi Community College library. The tree's roots stayed in the ground as the high winds passed through, but the trunk bent at a 45-degree angle as the well-manicured area around the library became a field of downed trees. Cleanup and restoration of electricity continued Monday as the campus remained closed.
