The Mississippi High School Activities Association has announced the punishments for South Pike and McComb following their on-court altercation during Tuesday night's basketball game.
The MHSAA announced that both teams will be placed on probation for one year while the schools were each fined $1,000 for the fighting and $500 for players leaving their benches.
Per the MHSAA, coaches are not receiving any disciplinary action from the organization, with that instead being left up to the schools' discretion.
And due to multiple players being suspended from both teams, each side will forfeit its next four games. That would mean the teams would resume play during the final week of the regular season (roughly).
