A watch party for the 2025 NBA Draft will be held at the Mahogany Event Center next Wednesday and Thursday as Pike County residents eagerly wait to find out when North Pike alum Alijah Martin will be selected.
Doors for the event will open at 5:30 p.m., with the draft set to begin at 7 p.m. each night. The first round, featuring 30 picks, takes place Wednesday before the 29-pick second round follows on Thursday.
As of now, most mock drafts see Martin landing in the mid-to-late second round, but drafts in any sports league are always full of surprises.

Following four productive years with Florida Atlantic, Martin helped lead Florida to the 2025 National Championship this past season while ranking among the team's best in multiple statistical categories.
Of course, Martin got his start as a multi-sport star at North Pike, shining everywhere from the gridiron to the hardwood. Because of this, there will also be a celebratory parade held in his honor at 5 p.m. on August 1 in Summit.
