Tax offices to move back into courthouse: to being election officials more space

Tax offices will return to the Pike County Courthouse next week, but their relocation may not yet be permanent as lingering issues with the flooring continue to delay renovations to the historic building.

Sometimes making do just makes things worse

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the obvious when you pull up beside an old four-wheel drive pickup truck with a jug of antifreeze sitting in front of the come-along winch.
That’s what I saw when I pulled up in a parking lot recently.
Somebody is just making do with a leak in the radiator.

McComb officials discuss terms of nonprofit leases

McComb city officials are determining the next steps to take with leases of city-owned properties.
At the request of city board members, City Attorney Jennifer Collins prepared a list of leases which may soon be terminated so that new terms can be set in the renewed agreements would uniform.
