Pike County residents can dispose of old motor oil, paint, pesticides and other hazardous materials during the county’s household hazardous waste day event Saturday.
Residents may drop off such items from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Pike County Health Department on Presley Boulevard in McComb.
Household garbage will not be accepted and schools and businesses are not allowed to participate in the event.
Items that will be accepted include paint, pesticides, poisons, aerosol cans, paint thinner, kerosene, oven cleaner, computers, televisions, fax machines, copiers, cellphones, compact discus, appliances, motor oil, tires, batteries and antifreeze.
