The Mississippi Department of Health is offering free COVID-19 tests in Amite, Lincoln and Wilkinson counties.
Due to high demand, residents are being asked to asked to make appointments ahead of time, although appointment can be made at the testing site.
Same-day openings may not be available, state health officials said.
To schedule an appointment, call 601-496-7200 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday or complete the UMMC COVID-19 online patient scheduling form at https://covidschedule.umc.edu/.
People with symptoms of COVID-19 should isolate themselves after being tested.
