Here are sentences reported recently in Amite County Circuit Court:
• Ellis Johnson, 57, 2954 Alfred Road, Liberty, pleaded guilty to two counts gratification of lust as a habitual criminal for incidents involving two children under 16 years old. Judge Debra Blackwell sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
• Hollis Simmons, 35, 6501 Highway 584, Liberty, pleaded guilty to two counts gratification of lust for incidents involving two children, plus third-offense DUI. He was sentenced to 10 years, seven suspended.
• Donna Carmouche, 58, 1553 Ramsey Road, Gloster, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Charges will be dropped if she pays a $1,000 fine and court costs and meets other requirements.
• Eric Chapman, 44, 794 Old Highway 33, Liberty, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. Charges will be dropped after a two-year suspended sentence and payment of a $1,000 fine and court costs.
• Michell Monroe, 37, 4463 Van Norman Road, Gloster, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. She was fined $1,000 and enrolled in a pretrial diversion program.
• Timothy Rushing, 49, 7649 Highway 570, Summit, pleaded guilty to possession of meth. He was sentenced to three years, two suspended, fined $1,000, restitution and court costs.
• Wallace Hood, 59, 7210 Hamp Lea Road, Magnolia, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He was fined $1,200 and enrolled in a pretrial diversion program.
• Donald Jackson III, 24, 460 Magnolia St., Gloster, pleaded guilty to tampering with physical evidence. He was sentenced to two years, suspended, fined $1,000 and court costs.
• Melanie Southard, 44, Buckholts, Texas, pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property. She was fined $3,000, court costs and enrolled in pretrial diversion.
• Charges were dropped against Ulyese Calcote, 50, no address available, at the victim’s request. He had been charged with aggravated domestic violence.
• Kimberly Ashley, 36, 3225 Sherman Church Road, Magnolia, pleaded guilty to failure to register as a sex offender. Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders sentenced her to three years, suspended.
