We bought a Nissan vehicle in 2020, paying on it every month since. On Sept. 19, a wrecker came up our drive, and the driver said he was here to pick up our vehicle.
I called the dealer. They told me they would call Nissan Motor Acceptance Co. They said Nissan had updated their computer system and changed our account system, and did not notify us.
We sent the payment every month online to the old account number. They did not take it and did not let us know. They could have sent a letter or an email, but they waited till it was three months past due and called a towing company to pick up the vehicle.
When we called them they were very rude. It was very hard to clear up the problem.
We are both 81 years old and have been truly upset about this. We have always paid our bills on time and never had an incident happen like this.
