Summit Missionary Baptist Church, 201 John D. Shaw St. in Summit, is where Alijah Martin and his family — mother Tina Wells Martin, grandmother Gail Wells, great-grandmother Mary Lou Patterson and sister Alaysia Martin — are all members.
We would like to go on record to acknowledge the success of Alijah, an outstanding Christian young man, for the contribution he has made to his team, the Florida Gators, which won the 2025 NCAA men’s basketball championship.
He has been an example for all the youth in this area, that it is obvious you can succeed in all you do, and if you believe that “Once a task has begun, never leave it until it is done, be thou labor great or small, do it well or not at all.”
Again, the church, school and community congratulate you and the entire team for a job well done.
Summit Missionary Baptist Church will present an achievement plaque and other accolades at a later date.
