Former McComb and South Pike basketball coach Hilton Harrell secured the 900th win of his longstanding career when his Leake County Gators took down Noxapater by a score of 68-34 on Tuesday night.
Harrell began leading the Leake County program after serving stints at McComb and South Pike in a variety of roles.
The longtime coach is perhaps best known for his efforts in revitalizing the Tigers' basketball program, as he led the team for 23 years and guided McComb to 4A State Championships in 2014 and 2015.
Harrell finished with a 710-192 record following his time with the Tigers.
It's also worth noting that Harrell's grandson, Aaron, suits up for the Gators and scored 13 points during Tuesday's game.
