Parklane Academy will look to secure another state title when it takes to the field this fall after it claimed the MAIS 5A Championship last season.
But the landscape of the MAIS will look different this year, with districts having been redrawn and there being a new format for how the postseason will function. More information on those changes can be found here.
Thus, the Pioneers' 2025 football schedule strays from that of years' past.
To kick off the season, Parklane will play host to arch rivals Jackson Prep on August 29, a game that is sure to draw attention from around the state. The Patriots handed the Pioneers one of their two losses in 2024, so the home side will have revenge on its minds in this one.
Ron Rushing's team then pays a visit to Natchez the following week before welcoming Oak Forest Academy on Sept. 12. Dates with Bowling Green (road) and Starkville Academy (home) round out the September schedule.
Parklane begins its October slate by traveling to face Riverfield Academy, and it will then return home to face a familiar foe in Brookhaven Academy on the 10th.
A two-game roadstand follows, with the Pioneers heading North to face MRA before they venture to take on Simpson Academy.
Parklane's season finale will be Halloween Night, when it hosts Silliman Institute.
There are notably no bye weeks on the schedule.
