Reports of inmates escaping from the Pike County jail are inaccurate, Sheriff James Brumfield said Friday.
Rumors of two inmates breaking out of jail spread on Facebook Friday morning, but Brumfield said they were incorrect.

Man sought in killing

McComb police are looking a man they have identified as a person of interest in a shooting that killed a Magnolia man in last week.
Dennis Bell is being sought in connection with the shooting of Kendric Carter, 42, who killed on Pearl River Avenue just east of the Locust Street intersection early Oct. 28.
