Carol Ann Evans, 86, died peacefully Nov. 21, 2024 in a nursing home in Frisco, Texas.
Carol was born Sept. 9, 1938, in McComb, the daughter of Ruth Lenoir and William “Carroll” Evans.
She graduated from McComb High School in 1957, and from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1960, where she focused on theater and was president of Alpha Psi Omega and treasurer of her sorority, Kappa Delta.
Her passions were watching the Dallas Cowboys, decorating for all holidays and volunteering for numerous Republican Women’s Clubs of Texas.
Carol lived most of her life in Longview, Texas, and Frisco, near Dallas. She worked for many years in law offices in both Longview and Dallas.
Carol leaves behind her children, Christopher (Heather) Klotz, Jessica Chandler, Zachary (Leigh) Klotz and Stephanie Lassiter; nine grandkids; seven great-grandkids; and her Loving Sister, Lenoir Smith of McComb, with whom she had a special bond.
She will have a private ceremony in Mississippi.
