A fourth day of testimony in former McComb School District employee Betty Wilson’s due process hearing never got started on Friday. Hearing officer Nate Armistead of Brookhaven said it was because a court reporter was unable to attend.
Dr. Tiffany Hicks, the former McComb superintendent who is now principal of an elementary school in Vicksburg, was among those in attendance. James Brown, an assistant superintendent, was scheduled to continue his testimony.
Hicks dismissed Wilson earlier this year after covid-19 relief money was designated for improvements to buildings for which the federal aid was not allowed.
Armistead said the hearing would resume on Friday, Aug. 15.
