Amite County veteran quarterback Marquavius McGhee announced his commitment to further his playing career with the Howard Huskies Post-Grad program on Sunday.
McGhee was a multi-year starter for the Trojans and played a vital role in the team producing a breakthrough eight-win campaign in 2025.
As a senior, McGhee completed 60% of his passes and threw for 1,097 yards and 13 touchdowns to just two interceptions. He also ranked third on the team with 521 rushing yards and seven more scores.
The Amite County product will join a Howard program that was founded in 2014 by head coach James Howard and his wife Veronica. Based in Cleveland, it aims to "promote, sponsor and advance amateur football competition among young men" and "along with a quality coaching staff, the program will provide a partnership with a local community college for use of NCAA-approved accredited courses and work-out facilities."
