A McComb man is recovering following a Friday night shooting, and police are looking for another man in a separate shooting in which someone shot into a house early Monday.
Curtis Floyd, 42, of McComb, was shot in the abdomen around 11 p.m. at 1019 Carson Lane.
Pike County Chief Deputy Brad Bellipanni said Monday that Floyd was taken to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center and airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was in critical condition. Detectives who checked on him Monday said he was recovering, Bellipanni said.
No arrests have been made and officials have not identified a suspect.
In another case, a shooting in McComb early Monday morning resulted in no injuries or arrests, police said.
Chief Detective Sgt. Victoria Carter said someone fired into a house around 1 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Fourth Street.
Carter said the homeowner, who police did not identify, told police her estranged husband allegedly fired a single shot into her window.
Carter said the homeowner confronted the shooter, who fled.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a burglary that was reported around 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of White Street.
Carter said the homeowner found the property “ransacked” and the house was in such bad shape she couldn’t tell if anything had been taken.
