McComb police officers helped Steele Norman celebrate his 7th birthday this week. His mother Ashley said Steele has struggled with health issues his whole life, but his love for police officers has remained a constant. During a recent school career day, Steele dressed as a police officer. Officer Wally Jones heard about Steele and organized a surprise party at Daily Donut, and police gave him an escort to school Thursday. ‘This will be a birthday he will never forget,’ Ashley Norman said. ‘Neither will this momma.’ Pictured with Steele are, from left, Kyle Brady, Deputy Chief Rodney Nordstrom, Capt. Steve Powell, Casey Miller, Willie Dunbar, Police Chief Damian Gatlin, Lt. Sean Gill and Sgt. Wally Jones.
