Moving up a rank

City and police officials, along with family members, gathered at the McComb Police Department on Tuesday for a ceremony celebrating the promotion of officers and detectives. Here, Police Chief Garland Ward congratulates newly promoted Sgt. Charles Bond. Sgt. Mildred Wilson is among three of the first women to achieve the rank of sergeant in the department, along with Chief Detective Victoria Carter and Officer Kayla Moore, who was unable to attend the ceremony. Not pictured are Lt. Casey Miller, Sgt. Detectives Victoria Carter, Scote Renfro and Delre Smith, and Sgt. Jerry Jones.
