The holidays are smoking

Fernwood Grocery owner Terry Pigott holds a smoked turkey at the store on Highway 51. Turkeys are just one of the many types of meats offered at the market, which is renowned for its smoked sausage. The store also sells hamburgers and other items for lunch. Pigott said he’s smoked as many turkeys as he can handle for Thanksgiving, but he’ll soon be taking orders for Christmas. The turkeys sell for $35.Fernwood Grocery is a Home for the Holidays participant, where customers can register to win Hometown Bucks from the Enterprise-Journal.
