City mulls bonds to shore up fund

The McComb city board may be forced to issue general obligation bonds to keep its utility fund from running dry after the board chose to write a $2.5 million check to settle a lawsuit in December. 

The utility fund balance is about $800,000 right now, city administrator Quordiniah Lockley said, adding that pending paychecks will reduce that.
