Man says city billed too much for too little work

Posted: Sunday, April 7, 2013 8:00 am

A lien holder says McComb officials mischaracterized the work city public works crews did at a storm-damaged Georgia Avenue house and charged too much for the project.

Ron Gibson told the Enterprise-Journal on Friday that the city billed $300 for clean-up at a house at 111 W. Georgia Ave. for a job that consisted only of mowing a narrow strip of grass in the neutral ground, not cleaning the entire property.
